~Avoidance~

I have learned...well, uncovered...a new quirk to my personality (although it isn't actually new!). I always knew that I played the "avoidance" game really well...and, now I know that is soooooooooo true! Today I was visiting with a friend and when the conversation became too deep, I wanted/needed to escape (typically, I walk away if I can't handle the conversation!)...problem being that I was at 40,000 feet above the ground...with no where to go...AHHHHHHHHHH....Anyway, I guess the moral of the story that I decided on was that if someone needs to tell me something deep then just put me on an airplane because there is no escape!!!!!!!!

I love this quote about avoidance...it really sums up what I do when I get information that "stresses" me out or raises my blood pressure or makes me crazy...

“Avoid the crowd. Do your own thinking independently. Be the chess player, not the chess piece.” ~Anonymous~

I will rewrite the quote...I am positive that ~Anonymous~ won't care...LOL...that was really funny....to say:

“Avoid stressful conversations. Be the chess player, not the chess piece.”

But, in the end...the conversation was worthy of my attention and because I was at 40,000 feet with no where to go, I did not avoid anything and actually felt better...

So, note to self...work on avoidance...stop worrying about the chess game...with true friends, there are no games.
